The term masseria comes from the Latin "massa", which means "a set of goods" or "land property" and is linked to the period of large estates. These rural complexes combined residential needs with the productive demands of agricultural labor: a model of sustainable development.
Originally, the masseria was named FABBRIZZIE, from the Latin "faber", indicating a place of "craftsmen". For over half a century, within these imposing stone walls, rural life followed its slow and harmonious rhythm.
After many decades of total abandonment, the entrepreneur Luigi seized the energy of the masseria and purchased the ruin. Thanks to his ingenuity and foresight, he converted the spaces that belonged to that lost bucolic life into 30 simple rooms.
The rebirth of the masseria occurred after a long period of renovation of the four building bodies, covering an area of almost 1,500 square meters. A new beginning that gave momentum to the recovery of the extraordinary Apulian rural heritage.
The masseria is now in the hands of the second generation, who with dedication and attention to detail, are committed to enhancing it and pampering those who stay there. The construction of the swimming pool represents the first step towards a new vision of hospitality.
